Download Synctool: !application/SYNCTOOL/Rosen/20120629_Rosen_Synctool.zip. You have to have a minimum 4GB USB Flash drive formatted to FAT32 file system.ġ. You then follow these instructions which are copied directly from the NaviExtras support page: Then you will download a small program called the 'Synctool' to a USB stick (since your unit never came with an SD card - all the maps are on internal memory - the updating is done via USB). To actually start the process, you have to register your unit with NaviExtras as a 'Rosen Piranha Series' unit. Once you install the Navi Extras Toolbox, you can update the maps. So to help you update your maps, what you need to do first is find a friend with a PC or install a PC emulator on your Mac, since the program you need to update this unit is only written for the PC. We do, and we know a TON more than anyone does about this unit in particular. This means that not only do they not have a clue how to help you, your warranty coverage is severely compromised because they don't get their product from the factory. However, I'm going to go on a little rant first: If you go to, you'll find out that there are only a few Authorized Dealers for this product, and your dealer is not one of them (even though they are on Amazon). Got your PM, but thought I would answer here for the good of anyone else that is in the same boat.
